Programs

Our Programs

Pale Blue. is home to a growing family of evidence-based practices, products, and learning platforms — each grounded in NEAR Science (neuroscience, epigenetics, ACEs research, and resilient communities theory) and designed for any sector where human well-being depends on how systems, families, and communities relate to one another. Family Finding®, Family Seeing®, and KinSight anchor the work — and our research, strategy, advisory, and training extend well beyond them.

Practice

Family Finding®

Family Finding® is a proactive search-and-engagement practice designed to identify and reconnect children and youth in care with biological, kinship, and supportive connections. Developed by Kevin Campbell, it builds a lifetime network of meaningful, permanent relationships — defined not just legally but relationally — restoring belonging, identity, and safety for young people at risk of lifelong disconnection.

Family Finding® is an evidence-based practice rated by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse (CEBC); family finding has been written into U.S. federal law three times; and it has been endorsed from the bench by a dependency judge and Rehnquist Award recipient. It is practiced across North America, Australia, and Western Europe — with Pale Blue. a key partner for the California Family Finding Center of Excellence. Learn more at familyfinding.org.

Practice

Family Seeing®

Family Seeing® brings a public-health and culturally grounded lens to family engagement. Co-authored by Kevin Campbell and Elizabeth Wendel, it recognizes and elevates existing family strengths, frames disrupted childhoods as health crises, and mobilizes parents, relatives, and communities to co-create healing ecosystems — not just by finding connections, but by truly seeing and valuing families' culture, capabilities, and relational dignity.

Family Seeing® builds on the foundations of Family Finding® and is grounded in NEAR Science — neuroscience, epigenetics, ACEs research, and resilient communities theory. Its core belief — healing is always possible — supports families and promotes safety within the context of relationships, rather than pathologizing individuals or fragmenting families. It is active across four continents and applies across child welfare, mental health, healthcare, justice, and community settings.
